Baguette
Part 1 of garlic bread, part 2 is just adding garlic butter/spread
Prep time: 2 hours
Cook time: 18 minutes
Servings: 2 baguettes
Ingredients
- •160g bread flour
- •2g yeast
- •5g oil
- •2g salt
- •112g water
Instructions
- 1.mix everything except oil and salt
- 2.add in oil and salt
- 3.let dough sit for 20 minutes
- 4.fold the outside edges of the dough in and slap it onto the counter a couple times
- 5.leave at room temperature until it doubles in size
- 6.put flour on the dough and split dough into 2
- 7.make the dough a circle again without breaking any air bubbles
- 8.let dough rest for 10 minutes before folding it inwards (like a dumpling) so the shape is more long
- 9.let dough rest until it bounces back after pressing
- 10.put flour on dough again and cut 3 slits into the dough
- 11.bake at 425 F for 18 minutes
